We stand behind our products and work to quickly address customer concerns.  If you have any product issues, please email us at info@TheKitchenSafe.com.  In the off-chance you received a defective product, we typically resolve the issue the same day.  

 

Can I cancel my order?

Shortly after you place your order, we submit it to our fulfillment partner to be packed and shipped so you can get your new kSafe as quickly as possible. Typically, once an order has been sent to our fulfillment partner it cannot be canceled. So, in many cases, we are unable to cancel an order.

 

Warranty Provided

Kitchen Safe Inc (KSI) offers a LIMITED WARRANTY; PERIOD OF COVERAGE. We warrant to the original owner of the enclosed product that the product contained in the box (“Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of delivery following the original retail purchase (the “Warranty Period”).  Customer must provide receipt showing purchase through an authorized channel by authorized dealers to be covered by the warranty.  Any items that were free, purchased from a reseller, or purchased through a channel not approved by KSI will not be covered under warranty.  If the Product fails to conform to this Limited Warranty during the Warranty Period, Kitchen Safe Inc will, at its sole discretion, either (a) repair or replace any defective Product or component; or (b) accept the return of the Product and refund the money actually paid by the original purchaser for the Product. Repair or replacement may be made with a new or refurbished product or components, at Kitchen Safe Inc's sole discretion. If the Product or a component incorporated within it is no longer available, Kitchen Safe Inc may replace the Product with a similar product of similar function, at Kitchen Safe Inc's sole discretion. This is your sole and exclusive remedy for breach of this Limited Warranty. Any Product that has either been repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty will be covered by the terms of this Limited Warranty for the longer of ninety (90) days from the date of delivery or the remaining Warranty Period. This Limited Warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser and proof of purchased from the manufacturer or an authorized reseller is required.  In the case where local jurisdictions require additional warranty, Kitchen Safe Inc will meet any additional warranty requirements.

Warranty conditions

Before being able to claim under this Limited Warranty, the owner of the Product must (a) notify Kitchen Safe Inc of the intention to claim by emailing info@TheKitchenSafe.com during the Warranty Period, provide a description of the alleged failure, and video proof of the defect if requested; (b) follow the troubleshooting steps provided by customer service to see if that solves the issue, (c) not have broken the item or opened the lid exposing the electronics, and (d) comply with Kitchen Safe Inc's return shipping instructions. Kitchen Safe Inc will have no warranty obligations with respect to a returned Product if it determines, in its reasonable discretion after examination of the returned Product, that the Product is an Ineligible Product (defined below).

What this limited warranty does not cover

This warranty does not cover the following (collectively “Ineligible Products”): Products marked as “sample” or sold “AS IS”; was free, or Products that have been subject to: (a) modifications, alterations, tampering, or improper maintenance or repairs; (b) handling, storage, installation, testing, or use not in accordance with the User’s Guide or other instructions provided by Kitchen Safe Inc.; (c) abuse or misuse of the Product; (d) use of tools to attempt to open the ksafe; (e) Acts of God, including lightning, flood, tornado, earthquake, or hurricane. This warranty does not cover consumable parts, including batteries, unless damage is due to defects in materials or workmanship of the Product, or software (even if packaged or sold with the product).  (f) shipping damage to the base that are not reported within 3 days of receipt of the item.  (g) damage to the base caused during use of the product. (h) Unauthorized use of the Product or software can impair the Product‘s performance and may invalidate this Limited Warranty. (i) Customers that violated of our Policies.  

Disclaimer of warranties

Except as stated above in this limited warranty, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kitchen Safe Inc disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties and conditions with respect to the product, including the implied warranties of merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kitchen Safe inc. also limits the duration of any implied warranties or conditions to the duration of this limited warranty.

Limitation of damages

In addition to the above warranty disclaimers, in no event will Kitchen Safe Inc. Be liable for any consequential, incidental, exemplary, or special damages, including any damages for lost data or lost profits, arising from or relating to this limited warranty or the product, and Kitchen Safe Inc.’ total cumulative liability arising from or related to this limited warranty or the product will not exceed the amount actually paid for the product by the original purchaser.

Limitation of liability

The Kitchen Safe inc. Online services (“services”) provide you information (“product information”) regarding your products. The information may change from time to time. Without limiting the generality of the disclaimers above, all product information is provided for your convenience, "as is”, and “as available”. Kitchen Safe inc. Does not represent, warrant, or guarantee that product information will be available, accurate, or reliable or that product information or use of the services or product will provide safety in your home. You use all product information, the services, and the product at your own discretion and risk. You will be solely responsible for (and Kitchen Safe Inc disclaims) any and all loss, liability, or damages, including to your wiring, fixtures, electricity, home, product, product peripherals, computer, mobile device, and all other items and pets in your home, resulting from your use of the product information, services, or product. Product information provided by the services is not intended as a substitute for direct means of obtaining the information.

Variations that might apply to this limited warranty

Kitchen Safe Inc will comply with the international laws of the jurisdiction of purchase. Kitchen Safe will provide the purchaser the minimum requirements for return policy and warrantee as required by the jurisdiction of purchase.

 

Can I return my product?

Orders placed at www.TheKitchenSafe.com may be returned if unused and in the original condition within 14 days of the delivery date. Customer is responsible for cost associated with returns. Products that are not in new condition are not eligible for refunds.  In the case of Defects or product issues, Kitchen Safe Inc has the sole discretion to to refund or replace the defective part per our warranty policy.    Violatation of our Policies may result in the product not being accepted for return.  

Following an inspection, the customer will receive a refund on the cost of the product, less outbound shipping charges paid by Kitchen Safe Inc.  Partial order returns will be adjusted to reflect removal of discount coupons if the coupon no longer applies to the remainder of the order.

To arrange for a return of the product, contact us at info@TheKitchenSafe.com for return instructions. Refunds are initiated upon inspection, but may take as long as 30 days to appear in your account/credit card statement due to credit card company processing.

Orders placed at www.TheKitchenSafe.com that are often shipped from warehouse partners outside of the USA.  However, returns must still be returned to our USA location as our international partners are unable to process returns.  Customers can contact us by email for more details and estimates of costs for return shipping.
